The Boulevard Retail Park was approved on appeal

Ken McEwen has been involved in the PR for many commercial developments, including new business parks, office developments, supermarkets and retail.

Notable over the years has been his work on projects for three of the top supermarket chains, including his work with the Robert Gordon University and Safeway on the proposal for a "green" underground supermarket at Kepplestone in Aberdeen. It was approved by councillors, but overturned on appeal.

For Asda he worked on the campaign that helped secure the extension of one of their flagship stores in Aberdeen.

As PR consultant to Scotoil Group plc following its buy-out from ICI, Ken McEwen managed the PR strategy that led to the approval, on appeal, for the Boulevard Retail Park on Aberdeen's Queen's Links.

That approval, in turn, led to the successful clean up of one of Aberdeen's most polluted sites, removing more than a century of toxic material from previous site uses as a chemical works and town gas plant.
